
Power Boat
- Center pipe and threaded rod should always be at a 90° angle or perpendicular to the vessel and ground.
- Measure the distance from the keel (out drive) to haul. Then measure the height of blocking. Add 6 inches.
- While choosing a stand, attempt to minimize the amount of threaded rod that will be exposed from the center pipe.
- Use of out drive stand is required
- A minimum of 4 stands per boat.
- Distance between Boat Stands should not extend beyond 10 feet.
Sail Boat
- Measure the distance from the keel to the haul. Then measure the height of blocks being used. Add an additional 6 inches to that height.
- While choosing a stand, attempt to minimize the amount of threaded rod that will be exposed from the center pipe.
- Measure the beam of the boat, add 5 feet. This I will give you the amount of chain required to secure Sail Boat stands.
- A minimum of 5 stands per boat ( 4 – flat top and 1- “v” top)
- Distance between Boat Stands should not extend beyond 10 feet.
*** The purpose of boat stands is to provide stabilization only. Stands are not meant to bear the weight of the vessel. To ensure proper weight support, please block the vessel.
